A Brief Historyof Blisworth

Blisworth has a History going back at least 1000 years to the
Doomsday Book and beyond, although it is perhaps best known
for activities in the Canal Age around the 1800s.
Beryl and Hilary have been organising History Walks for a number of years and there have
been numerous visits by Local History Groups. But a number of village people have
missed these historical tours and are unaware of some of the gems within our village. For
the April 2017 meeting, Hilary and Beryl told us all about the history of village from the
comfort of the Village Hall. It is rumoured that, if asked nicely, they will then arrange a
walk around the village at a later date!
